- Beth Lachance Hesson, CFP, CLU, CEBS, a member of the Canadian Million Dollar Round Table Foundation, is pictured presenting a cheque from the Foundation for $2,900.00 to Sylvia Patfield, Executive Director of the Women & Children's Shelter (barrie).
The Million Dollar Round Table is the premier association of financial professionals around the world. MDRT membership includes over 35,000 qualifiers living in 79 nations and territories. The Canadian MDRT Foundation was created in 1995 to specifically support Canadian charitable projects.
Funded by top life insurance and financial advisors, the foundation operates on the basis that successful people in the industry want to give back to their communities. Through an annual application process, the Canadian MDRT Foundation makes grants to selected charitable organizations that serve to strengthen Canadian communities and to improve the quality of life.
To date, the Canadian MDRT Foundation has awarded $1,132,646 in grants to Canadian charities. In 2006, a total of $117,231 was granted to 59 charities in communities across the country.
